The ICSE (Indian Council of Secondary Education) Programme is offered by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations. At International Community School & Junior College (ICS), the ICSE syllabus is delivered to lead the students in a progressive and phased manner, enabling them to be well-prepared and future-ready. Application of knowledge and the development of analytical skills form an integral part of the programme that aims to develop students as responsible citizens who make positive contributions to the society.

The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child. Each and every child entrusted to our care is treasured and nurtured, encouraged and appreciated, enabling him to blossom into a young enthusiastic learner.
The play way method allows the curious young minds to explore and understand the surroundings. The school follows the integrated system which comprises the best of the Montessori and Kindergarten methods of teaching. Through various activities the child is introduced to the world of shapes and forms, numbers and alphabets. The students are introduced to the second language, Hindi, right from LKG. Physical exercises, sports and games form an integral part of their day to day schedule.

The major emphasis of the CICSE is on the continuous growth of students ensuring their intellectual, emotional, physical, cultural and social development. Importance is given to both the Scholastic and the Co-scholastic aspect.
Students study English as the First Language, Tamil or Hindi or Malayalam as the Second Language, and Mathematics, History, Civics and Geography, Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology), and Computer Application as core subjects.
International Community School & Junior College (ICS), enable children to expand their understanding of the world from academic and cultural perspectives through School trips and excursions. They participate in Dance, Drama, Music, Yoga, and other activities. The students organise and participate in Inter-house cultural and sports events, thus developing leadership skills and team spirit. Community Service is an integral part of the learning, with students actively involved in various service projects.
In the Secondary section (Std IX to X), students start preparing for the ICSE (The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education, New Delhi) Examination of Class X. From Std VIII onwards, students are explained the methodology of the examinations for the ICSE and are encouraged to perform accordingly. The school offers its students a variety of subjects giving the students an opportunity to specialize in their chosen areas of interest. Students take certain compulsory subjects and also select subjects of interest to them from a range of choices apart from Indian languages. Socially Useful and Productive Work (SUPW) and Community Service play an important part in the programme. Std X take the ICSE exams in February – March each year.

The Indian School Certificate (ISC) Examination is a school leaving examination of the CISCE. Students clearing Class 10 can apply for admission to this course under Council eligibility rules. The ISC examination is recognized by the Inter Universities Board for entry into a 3-year college system leading to a Bachelor's degree.
Three streams of study are offered. In each of these streams English is a compulsory subject; students need to choose four additional subjects. The school varies the subjects it offers as well as which subject combinations it can allot based on a feasibility study and this varies from year to year.
ISC stands for Indian School Certificate. It refers to 12th class examination conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). English is a compulsory subject in ISC board and the exam is also conducted in English medium except the language subjects. The students who pass ISC exam have more chances to get admission into A-Level colleges than the students of respective boards and councils.
